Chinese Herbs

Chinese herbal medicine is one of the most important aspects of Traditional Chinese Medicine that has been practiced for several thousand years. Chinese Herbology incorporates ingredients from all parts of plants, the leaf, stem, flower, root, and also ingredients from animals and minerals. Endangered species have been replaced by other herbs with similar actions. Chinese herbal formulas come in various forms such as granular extracts, powder form, pills, tinctures, and the traditional herbal tea form. Externally, Chinese herbal formulas can be applied topically in the form of liniments, plasters, and herbal compresses to effectively relieve pain.

How does it work?

Each individual herb has a taste, temperature, nature that affects specific areas of the body. When single herbs are combined to create a formula, they are very effective in treating not only symptoms, but also the underlying cause of the problem. Chinese herbal formulas are custom to each individual since symptoms may vary from person to person. When conditions improve, herbal formulas are adjusted accordingly until symptoms have been resolved.
